My class was given a list of websites to redesign into a one page website and Southside Tattoo caught my interest. I decided to go with a relaxed grungy theme to go with the tough, cool feel of a tattoo shop. I also gave it a hint of pirate aspects (for example the title font and paper texture on the artist page) to go with their logo that looks similar to a skull that one would see on a “pirate” flag. When someone would enter the Southside shop the first thing they would notice is the light blue and green walls. I wanted to incorporate the colors so I mixed them up and used teal, however, I made it a little darker to go with the grungy theme.
